Since our inception, the Daroo KPAC has been at the forefront of preserving Korean traditional music and arts. Our flagship event, the Annual Korean Traditional Music and Arts Festival, has been a platform for nurturing young talents and providing them with opportunities to shine. We take pride in awarding the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Award to deserving winners and offering them valuable exposure and support.

In our mission to bridge cultures and promote Korean arts, we have embarked on various initiatives. Through captivating performances by renowned artists such as An Sook-sun, we have introduced the beauty and depth of Korean traditional music to diverse audiences. We have also forged partnerships with multicultural arts organizations, both in Korea and the United States, to expand the reach of Korean culture and create meaningful collaborations.

Moreover, we are dedicated to ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Through free educational programs, concerts, workshops, and courses, we strive to engage and educate individuals of all backgrounds, including the younger generations of Korean Americans. By nurturing a love and understanding of our cultural heritage, we aim to strengthen the bond between our two nations and foster cross-cultural appreciation.

미주 예술원 다루는 영리를 목적으로 하지 않는 순수예술단체로서 우리문화의 뿌리를 찾는 활동을 통해 뛰어난 한국문화를 되살리어 꽃피우고 미주지역 한인에게 정체성을 확립하고 한국문화에 대한 자긍심을 고취시키며 타인 종에게는 한국의 우수한 전통문화를 널리 알리고자 하는 목표를 가지고 있습니다.

미주예술원다루는 자라나는 세대가 한국예술문화를 올곧게 계승하고 더욱 발전시키기 위해 2013년 부터 미주한국국악경연대회를 주최하여 이어오고 있으며, 대상수상자에게는 문화체육관광부 장관상등을 수여하고 입상자들에게는 다양한 기회를 주려고 노력하고 있습니다. 또한 타인종에게 우리의 국악과 전통문화를 알리고 한류문화가 미주지역에 자리매김할 수 있도록 안숙선 명창 흥보가 전바탕 완창공연등의 명인초청 행사나, 한국이나 미국내에서 활동하고있는 여러문화예술단체와의 협력을 통한 국악홍보활동을 활발히 진행하고 있습니다. 더나아가 찾아가는 국악교육 및 공연들을 확대하여 보다 많은 사람들에게 우리문화를 접할수있는 기회를 제공하고, 자라나는 세대에 한국문화의 뿌리를 찾는 교육의 일환으로 우리음악알리기공연이나 한국인2,3세를 위한 국악강좌나 워크샵등 100회이상의 무료행사를 통하여 미국내에서 우리문화를 알리는 가교역할을 중추적으로 수행하고 있습니다.

미주예술원 다루는 해가거듭수록 많은 관심과 성원 속에 크게 발전하여 이젠 어디에 내놔도 자랑스럽고 손색없는 뚜렷한 단체가 되었다고 말할수 있게 되었습니다. 미주예술원 다루는 우리의 국악이 세계음악이 되는 순간까지 매진할것입니다.
